100th-Birthday-Bagpipes George-Llantrisant 20th Oct, 2020.

It was an absolute pleasure Today to play the Bagpipes for George’s 100th Birthday in Llantrisant.  This was a Surprise from family members both in UK & Melbourne Australia. I approached the house playing “The Green Hills of Tyrol” ( aka The Scottish Soldier), leading into “Happy Birthday”.  In addition, The newly learnt “Advance Australia Fair” (National Anthem of Australia) as well as, “Land of My Fathers”.

After a short greeting to George, I continued with “Sou Gan”, “Calon Lan”, “Cwm Rhondda” & “Myfanwy” to reflect George’s Heritage.   Then concluding with a number of upbeat tunes.
