70th-Birthday-Bagpiping-Robert-Caerleon 30th Apr, 2022.
A visit to St Julians Inn in Caerleon near Newport on Saturday night, Bagpiping for Robert’s 70th Birthday Party.
As a Surprise for family & friends, I played from my hiding place in the car park, leading Rob & partner Irene into the function room.
The tunes were “The Green Hills of Tyrol”, “Colin’s Castle” & “Castle Dangerous” & other upbeat melodies. Concluding this set with “Happy Birthday” 🙂
Thereafter, I led the 3 birthday cake carriers out to a medley of Robert’s selected favourite tunes, that included: Bonnie Dundee, Welsh & Scottish tunes & Bessy McIntyre 🙂
