As a surprise on Ellen’s arrival, I led all into the Inn with the requested “Flower of Scotland”, continuing with “The Skye Boat Song” & “The Mull of Kintyre” to reflect Ellen’s Kirkaldy origins.

After photos, I led Ellen to the party’s table with “Happy Birthday”. Then played a number of Welsh melodies to reflect Ellen living in Wales & then “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree”, “The Green Hills of Tyrol” & “The Heights of Dargai”, before departing to “The Black Bear”.

Many Happy Returns of the day to Ellen and Thank You to Jayne for inviting me along
