Bagpipes-Glamorgan-Crematorium-Funeral 7th July, 2023.
A honour today, Bagpiping for the ‘Celebration of Life’ for a young Gentleman at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, who overcame many difficulties to become Multilingual, as a member of 2300 (St. Athan) Squadron Air Cadets (ATC)) achieved a Gold Award in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme & later to achieve a Degree.
On the arrival of the Land Rover hearse with walking mourners & his former ATC Officer Commanding Sqn Ldr Simon Horten , I led to the chapel playing the requested: “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree”, “Calon Lan” & “The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond”.
In the interim before the chapel entry, I played “Oft in the Stilly Night” and following the service, leading out to the Memorial Garden with “Flowers of the Forest” & “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” (Classical Piobaireachd).
Our Sincere Condolences to the family & many friends.
