Bagpipes-Remembrance-Cowbridge 13th Nov, 2022.
An Honour today, Bagpiping at the Cowbridge Llanblethian Town Council Annual Remembrance Service.
Following the Bugler’s ‘last post, 2 minutes silence & the ‘Reveille’, I played for the laying of Wreaths. Tunes included:
“Oft in the Stilly Night”. “Sleep, Dearie Sleep”, “Flowers of the Forest”, “The Dark Isle” & “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.
Thereafter, as the parade moved to the Church of the Holy Cross Cowbridge for the church service. I played alongside the marching participants. Tunes for this included: “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
