This was to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day. I played many tune melodies including “The Green Hills of Tyrol”, “The Battle’s O’er” & 3/4 Marches, as residents moved to the dining room for lunch.
Thereafter, based on a Burns Supper theme, I led resident Jean (pictured) who carried the Haggis into the dining room, to an enthusiastic welcome from waiting residents & staff.
The entry tune was the traditional “A Man’s a Man for A’ that”. I followed this with “The High Road to Gairloch”, “Scotland the Brave” & “The Rowan Tree”.
As guests enjoyed their meal, I played many well known melodies such as: “The Skye Boat Song”, “The Mull of Kintyre”, “Sailing”, “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond” & many more.
A great day was had by all. Thank you to June (pictured) for inviting me 🙂
