Bagpipes-Talk-Play-Session-Litchard-Primary 27th Apr, 2022.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon today, with the Head Master, Teachers & Students of Litchard Primary School  Bridgend with a #Bagpipes “Talk & Play” Session for their “Scottish Project”.

I entered the hall playing the Scots tunes: “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree”, along with “Flower of Scotland”. Then talked about the components of the Dress Uniform and Bagpipes.

Afterwards I asked the 300 students who had celebrated a Birthday in the Easter Holidays of which I played “Happy Birthday” to them.
The next question was, do any of you like Dinosaurs? with an enthusiastic response of “Yes”.  After playing “Jurassic Park”, I asked the girls & boys if they knew the tune, the answer again was a resounding “Yes” 🙂

We had an enormous amount of fun with the Question & Answer session.

Finally, a massive singalong to: “Land of my Fathers” & “Calon Lan”.

In conclusion, Thank you for an enthusiastic response and to Headmaster Dale & Teacher Shauna & other staff for inviting us along 🙂
