A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at Meithrinfa Si-Lwli / Si-Lwli Nursery in Whitchurch Cardiff today. The session was a ‘Talk & Play’ with a medley of tunes including Welsh, for the children in the outdoor play area. The Welsh tunes included: “Land of My Fathers”, “Calon Lan”, “Myfanwy” & “Cwm Rhondda” with staff & children singing along, foot tapping & hand clapping to the music beat.
Thereafter indoors, I explained the component parts of the Bagpipes & how the Bagpipes work.
Then a short description of the tuning process and a description of the uniform parts & a Clan History of the Campbell of Argyll Kilt, Kilt Pin & Glengarry hat badge.
A great response from the children having photos wearing my Glengarry.  Thank You to Kimberley (pictured) for making Louise and I so welcome 🙂
