Bagpiping-Barry-Crematorium-Funeral 5th Nov, 2021.
A revisit to Barry Crematorium today in Barry. This was for the Funeral of a proud Welshman. In addition, the tunes played reflected this & family requests.
Tunes to lead the cortege to the chapel entrance were: “Myfanwy”, “Calon Lan”, as well as, “Cwm Rhondda” (aka Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer).
Moreover, important tunes that formed part of the indoor service were Amazing Grace. Sung by the niece of the deceased & the exit tune of Land of My Fathers.
In conclusion, I then picked up in the Memorial Garden, starting with the “Welsh Anthem” on Bagpipes. Thereafter, I followed this with “Amazing Grace”. Finally, then concluding with a Piobaireachd Salute.
