At Gwent Crematorium (Cwmbran) today. Bagpiping for the Funeral of a Hamilton (South Lanarkshire) born lady. She had had lived in Wales many years. On the approach of the cortege, I played “The Skye Boat Song”, as well as, “Mull of Kintyre”.
For the chapel entry, the family requested “Flower of Scotland”.
Thereafter & following the service, I played the requested “Going Home” (of Hovis fame), as well as, “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen”. In addition, this was followed by “Scotland the Brave”, “The Green Hills of Tyrol”, along with, “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
In Conclusion, our condolences to the many family & friends.
