Bagpiping-International-Fishing-Competition 19th Oct, 2022.
A Fantastic Early Start Today, Bagpiping at the International Garnffrwd Fly Fishing Competition at Garnffrwd Trout Fishery Garnffrwd Park near Crosshands, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.
I led the competitors from Wales, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland & Eire (joint) from the car park to the briefing point with “Flower of Scotland”, “Calon Lan”, “Danny boy” & “Sailing”.
There followed a One Minute silence in memory of competition stalwart Malcolm Edwards.
I then played as teams moved to their stations. Tunes included: “The Green Hills of Tyrol”, “The Battle’s O’er”, “Colin’s Cattle”, “Castle Dangerous” & “My Land”.
