A Fantastic Burns Supper last night, Bagpiping once again at the United Services Mess (belated) in Cardiff.
It was a real pleasure greeting arriving guests with a multitude of tunes. The sound resonated around the Mess.
After the soup starter, I then Bagpiped the traditional Haggis Entry with “A Man’s a Man for a’ That“. In addition, this preceded an enthusiastic & well received “Address to the Haggis” by Alex.
After the toast to the Haggis & Bagpiper. I led the Haggis back to the kitchen to “Scotland the Brave”.
In addition, as the main meal was being plated, I played a short recital of upbeat Scots/Welsh tunes. This was met with a fantastic singing response from guests 🙂
In conclusion, it was another brilliant function. Thank you to Tony for inviting us back. Also, for the hospitality received from everyone 🙂
