Bagpiping yesterday afternoon at Memoria Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Crematorium, for the Funeral of a Glasgow born Gentleman who had lived in Wales 45 years.
On arrival of the cortege, I led to the chapel playing: “The Skye Boat Song” with “Calon Lan”.
For the Chapel entry, the requested tune was “Flower of Scotland” & for the departure “Land of My Fathers”.
At Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery later, I led to the graveside with “The Mull of Kintyre” & “Sailing”.
On movement to the grave, I played “Myfanwy”. Following the interment, I played “Going Home” & “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
