A Fantastic Burns Night last night at the Southerndown Golf Club near Bridgend for Bridgend Rotarty Club.
My first visit here and well received Bagpiping Performances, where I played for arriving guests with a multitude of tunes.
I led the traditional #Haggis party in to the function room & 70+ guests with the Haggis entry tune: “A Man’s A Man for a’ That”.
An energetic ‘Address to the Haggis‘ from Mike. which led to the Haggis Toast, before the lead out to ‘Scotland the Brave” with enthusiastic support from guests.
A little while later, I played a recital of mixed styles of tunes, along with Flower of Scotland, The Skye Boat Song, 6/8 Marches, Mull of Kintyre & Auld Lang Syne 🙂
A great first visit to this venue and Thank You to Bob for inviting us 🙂
