I played many tunes as guests arrived & enjoyed pre dinner Drinks. After the Selkirk Grace & Starter, I led Henry (with Haggis) & Duncan (Addresser) into the dining area to “A Man’s a Man for a’ That” for the “Address to the Haggis“.
After the Toast to the Haggis, I led out to a rapturous response from guests to “Scotland the Brave”.
Thereafter, I continued with a recital of Scots tunes that included: An upbeat opening tune set, “The Skye Boat Song”, “The Mull of Kintyre”, “Flower of Scotland”, 6/8 Marches, “She Moved Through the Fair”, “For the Love of a Princess” (Braveheart) along with “The Green Hills of Tyrol” & “The Rowan Tree”.
