Cardiff-Cathedral–Funeral-Bagpipes 3rd Mar, 2026.

Funeral Bagpiping today at Cardiff Cathedral – Cadeirlan Caerdydd (St. David’s) in Cardiff City Centre.

The very well attended Funeral was for a local Gentleman with Merchant Navy service.

On approach of the cortege to the church, I played: “The Drunken Piper”, “Highland Cathedral”, “Amazing Grace”, “Calon Lan”, “Myfanwy” & “Cwm Rhondda”.

After the service as mourners departed the church, I played the requested “Sailing” to reflect the Gent’s maritime service.

On approach at #WesternCemetery, I played: “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” and “Land of My Fathers”.
After the interment, I played the requested: “Amazing Grace”, “Going Home”, “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith” & concluding with “Queen Elizabeth II Salute ( #Piobaireachd).

Our Condolences to the family & many mourners.
