Cowbridge-BarryCrem-Funeral-Bagpipes 14th Aug, 2024.
Today I attended Holy Cross Church in Cowbridge, playing the Bagpipes for the service of a local lady with Scottish heritage.
I played the requested: “Flowers of the Forest” & “The Dark Isle” on the approach of the cortege. The Church Entry was to: “Myfanwy”.
The Church departure was to: “Sou Gan” ( A Welsh Lullaby). Then to lead the cortege away, I played: “Calon Lan”.
On arrival at Memoria Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Crematorium, I led to the chapel with: “Oft in the Stilly Night”, “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen” & “The Skye Boat Song”.
At the end of the service, mourners were led from the chapel to the requested: “The Black Bear”, “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree” & a Piobaireachd Salute.
Our Condolences to the many family & friends.
Working alongside the very professional Carwyn & his team of Cowbridge Funeral Services.
