Falklands-Anniversary-Memorial-Swansea 14th June, 2022.
Bagpiping at St. Mary’s Church in Swansea today. This was for the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands Conflict & specifically the taking of the Argentine Surrender on the 14th June, 1982.
I led the Veterans & other participants into the church to “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
For the service departure I played “Oft in the Stilly Night” with “Flowers of the Forest”.
Also in attendance were the Swansea Halberdiers of South Wales Police.
Thank You to Paul Summers for asking me to play at this event, it was an honour being part of the Memorial for All Veterans & those that sadly didn’t return.
