I played many tunes for assembled residents who had family members visiting them. The tune sets included, Welsh and Scottish tunes. i.e. “Myfanwy”, “Land of My Fathers”, “Flower of Scotland”, “The Skye Boat Song” & “The Mull of Kintyre”.

These tunes were interspersed between medleys of tune sets. Between sets, I explained to residents, the component parts of the Bagpipes & how they work. The history of some tunes which did generate some laughs from residents and elements of the dress uniform which generated even more laughs.

It was an honour performing and chatting to some of the residents.

Thank you to Donna, for asking us along again. John & Louise
