Bagpiping at Parc Gwyn Crematorium (Narbeth) today, for the Funeral of a local Gentleman who served in the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment during the Falklands conflict.
With an array of Standard Bearers, Military Vehicles, Marching Veterans & family members. I led from the main gate to the chapel playing the requested and poignant “Flowers of the Forest”. I followed this with “My Home”, “The Mist Covered Mountains” & “Oft in the Stilly Night” -(reflective of the annual Festival of Remembrance each November).
For the departure the family requested “Land of My Fathers”, then followed it with “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” – (from the classical Bagpiping style “Piobaireachd”), “Myfanwy” & “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.
