Bagpiping for the Funeral of a Glasgow born Gentleman today, who served with the Scots Guards.
On the approach of the cortege at Llansantffraith Church near Bridgend, I played “Flowers of the Forest”.
For the Church Entry: “The Dark Isle” with “Oft in the Stilly Night”.
Following the church service, I led mourners out to “The Skye Boat Song” with “The Mull of Kintyre”.
Thereafter, at Sarn Cemetery, the cortege was met with “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
Leading to the gravesite with “Sleep, Dearie Sleep”.
Following the interment, Last Post & Reveille, the tunes to finish were “Going Home”, “Flower of Scotland”, “Highland Cathedral” with the Urlar of Queen Elizabeth II Salute (Piobaireachd).
