Funeral Bagpipes today at St Sannans Church ( Parish of Bedwellty & New Tredegar ) today. This was for the service of a young Gentleman.
On approach of the cortege, I played: “My Home” with “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
For the Church Entry, the requested: “Myfanwy”. To depart the service: “Calon Lan” & “Sou Gan” (A Welsh Lullaby).
At Bedwellty Cemetery as the cortege approached: I played: “The Massacre of Glencoe”, then to lead to the gravesite: “Calon Lan”.
Following the interment, the requested tune was: “Amazing Grace”, “Field of Gold” (#Piobaireachd ) & “Cwm Rhondda”.
At the wake location: Markham Welfare Club, I played 3/4 Marches, then concluded with “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” ( #Piobaireachd ).
