Funeral Bagpiping today for a Scots lady who was born in the Isle of Mull. The initial service took place at St Peter & Illyd’s Church near Brecon.
On arrival of the immediate family, I played “The Ladies of the Alamo”, then led the mourners into church to “Flower of Scotland”.
After the service, I led mourners from the church to the requested: “Mhairi’s Wedding” along with “Scotland the Brave”, “The Rowan Tree” & “The Massacre of Glencoe”.
On arrival at Llwydcoed Crematorium, I stepped into the road & led the cortege to the chapel to “The Skye Boat Song” with “The Mull of Kintyre”.
The chapel entry was to “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.  After the Committal & for the curtain closure, I played “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
Then I led from the chapel to the requested: “Sleep, Dearie Sleep” followed by “The Blue Bells of Scotland”, “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond” & “Amazing Grace”.
Our Condolences to the family & many mourners.
