Funeral-Bagpipes Caerphilly-Thornhill 10th Sept, 2020.  Bagpiping today for the farewell of a Caerphilly based lady. The day started with leading the Funeral cortege from the family home to “Amazing Grace”.  Thereafter, I then proceeded to Thornhill Cemetery & Cardiff Crematorium for the actual service.  Similarly, on the approach I stepped into the road and played to the Chapel entrance with “The Mist Covered Mountains” in addition to “My Home”.  In conclusion, I then met the mourners in the Memorial Garden with “Going Home” (of Hovis fame), “Calon Lan”, reflecting the lady’s Welsh Heritage and finishing with a Piobaireachd Lament.
