Funeral Bagpiping today for the service of a Glasgow born lady. The service started at St. Mary’s Church in Canton. On approach of the cortege I played the family requested tunes: “The Skye Boat Song” with the “Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond”.
The Church Entry was to: “Amazing Grace” & “The Mull of Kintyre”. The Church Exit was to: “Scotland the Brave” & “Auld Lang Syne”.
I then met the cortege at Western Cemetery Ely, where on approach I played some repeats of tunes that were very special to the family. These were: “The Skye Boat Song”, “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond”, “Flower of Scotland” & “The Mull of Kintyre”.
Following the Interment I played the requested: “Danny Boy”. Our Condolences to the family & many friends.
