In addition to, the family selected tunes, I added other suitable melodies. I met the cortege en-route & played: “Going Home”, “Oft in the Stilly Night”, along with, “Amazing Grace”.
In addition, I played after the service, in the Memorial Garden. Having discovered from the Funeral Director that the CD Exit tune was the Corries “Wild Mountain Theme (Go Lassie Go)”, that I play. As a result, I started with this tune, much to the pleasant surprise of the mourners.
Most Importantly, I then played the planned “Calon Lan”, “Danny Boy”, as well as, “Auld Lang Syne”. Also, concluding with a Classical Piobaireachd Salute.
Moreover, our condolences to the family and many friends.
