Funeral-Bagpipes-Ely-Cardiff 28th Oct, 2022.
Bagpiping at the Resurrection Church in Ely Cardiff this afternoon. This was for the Funeral of an Edinburgh born local Gentleman.
As the cortege approached, I played “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “Ladies of the Alamo”.
The family requested Church Entry & Exit tunes were: “Flower of Scotland” and “Amazing Grace”.
Thereafter, I met the cortege at Western Cemetery where I led to the gravesite with “Sleep, Dearie Sleep” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
Following the interment, the tunes of choice was “The Shores of Loch Katrine”, “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”, & The Piobaireachd (Urlar) Salute: Queen Elizabeth II.
