Funeral-Bagpipes Ely-Cardiff 30th Sept, 2021.
Bagpiping in Ely, Cardiff today for the Funeral of a local lady. My participation started at the home address, where I played “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains” for the Funeral Cars arriving. Then, leading from the house with “Amazing Grace”.
In addition, I then met mourners at St David’s Church Cowbridge Road Cardiff. The tunes played included, “Oft in the Stilly Night”, “Flowers of the Forest”, as well as “The Dark Isle”. This led to the start of the service.
Thereafter, I met the cortege on arrival at Western Cemetery (Cardiff) where I led the Funeral Cars to the gravesite. The tunes were “Myfanwy” “The Mull of Kintyre” & “The Skye Boat Song”.
After the interment, the tune played was “Sleep Dearie, Sleep”. I continued with “Calon Lan” and a Piobaireachd Salute.
In conclusion, Our Condolences to all family & friends in attendance.
