A visit to 3 venues around Merthyr Tydfil today. Bagpiping for the Funeral of a Kirkcaldy born lady.
My performances started on arrival at the home address with the “Skye Boat Song” & “Going Home” for the departure.
At the Funeral Directors Chapel, I played on arrival with “Myfanwy” & “Cwm Rhondda”. With the chapel entry to “Calon Lan”.
The chapel departure involved a ‘Lament’ from the classical Bagpiping style – Piobaireachd.
On arrival at Pant Cemetery, I led to the graveside with “Flower of Scotland”, “Mull of Kintyre” & “The Shores of Loch Katrine”.
Following the interment I played “Highland Cathedral” & “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”
