Funeral-Bagpipes-Gwent-Crematorium 11th Nov, 2022.
I was Bagpiping today at Gwent Crematorium for the Funeral of a local lady. I met the cortege by the main gate and led to the chapel entrance with the tunes: “The Mist Covered Mountains” with “Oft in the Stilly Night”.
Following the chapel service, I met the many mourners in the Memorial Garden. I was asked to play the Queen’s Funeral Solo Bagpiper tunes. These were “Sleep, Dearie Sleep” & “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.
