A revisit today to Holy Cross Church in Cowbridge, playing the Bagpipes for the Funeral service of a local gentleman with Scottish links.
I stepped into the road, in the high street and led to the church to the requested: “Flowers of the Forest”, “The Mull of Kintyre” & “The Skye Boat Song”.
The Church Entry was to a very special tune to the family: “The Rowan Tree”.
After the departure, I led the cortege back to the high street with “The Shores of Loch Katrine” and “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”. The Ground/Urlar of a Classical Piobaireachd melody.
