Funeral-Bagpipes-Laleston-Bridgend 19th Aug, 2024.
Funeral Bagpiping at Laleston St David’s Church & later Laleston Cemetery near Bridgend yesterday. The service was for a local gentleman. On approach of the Cortege led by a vintage tractor, I played “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
The Church Entry was to the requested “Amazing Grace”. The Church departure was to the tune “Going Home”.
At Laleston Cemetery, I led the cortege to the graveside with: “Calon Lan”, “The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond”, “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “The Skye Boat Song”.
