Funeral-Bagpipes-Llandingat-Llandovery 22nd Jan, 2024.

Funeral Bagpipes today at Llandingat Church in Llandovery, for a local Gentleman with no Scots links, but had a love of Bagpipes.  I was requested, following my performances at a previous family funeral.
On the approach, I led the cortege to the church, playing “The Skye Boat Song”.
At the Lychgate, I continued with the requested: “Mull of Kintyre”, “Highland Cathedral” & “Cwm Rhondda”.
For the Church Entry, the tune of choice was: “Amazing Grace”.
After the service, I led out with “Calon Lan”, then continued with: “Myfanwy”, “Salute the Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”, “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
As the cortege moved off to the crematorium, I led the initial departure with “Oft in the Stilly Night” with “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
Our Condolences to the family & many friends.
Working once again with the very professional IC and SM Davies Funeral Directors of Llandovery.
