Funeral-Bagpipes-Llanelli 8th Oct, 2021.
A visit to Llanelli yesterday. Bagpiping initially at the home address, then later Llanelli Crematorium for an Edinburgh born, local lady’s Funeral.
At the home address I played “The Mull of Kintyre” & “The Rowan Tree” as the Funeral Cars arrived. In addition, then “Amazing Grace” to lead from the house.
Thereafter, on the approach of the Cortege at the crematorium. I led to the chapel with “The Skye Boat Song”, “The Blue Bells of Scotland” & “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen”.
The procession was played into the chapel with “Flower of Scotland”.
At the conclusion of the committal, I played “Going Home”. Continuing with a number of tunes in the Memorial Garden that included: “Sleep Dearie, Sleep”.
In conclusion, Our Sincere Condolences to the family.
