A visit to St. Bartholemew’s Church today, Bagpiping for the Funeral of a local lady with a love of Bagpipes
All tunes were requested by the family. As the cortege arrived, I played the very melodic “The Mist Covered Mountains”. As the procession advanced from the Lychgate to the church door, the tune of choice was “My Home”.
On completion of the service, the exit tune by CD player was “The Rose” & as the procession exited the door, I struck up with “The Rose” continuing to the gravesite and included “Calon Lan”.
After the interment, the requested tune was “Amazing Grace”, which was followed by the classical “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
