Funeral Bagpiping today in Merthyr Tydfil area. The playing was for a local lady with a love of Bagpipes.
I led from the family home with the requested “Amazing Grace” with Funeral Cars & Horse Drawn Carriage managed by our good friends from Kilvey Carriage Hire South Wales.
On arrival at Tabernacle Merthyr Church tune choices were: “Flowers of the Forest” & “Amazing Grace” for the move to the church door.
After the service, as mourners departed the church & to acknowledge the deceased’s Welsh heritage the tune played was: “Myfanwy”.
As the cortege arrived at Pant Cemetery, arrival tunes included: “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”. Following the interment, I concluded with; “Sleep, Dearie Sleep” accompanied by “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” (Piobaireachd).
Working once again with the very professional Rob & his colleagues of D J Protheroe Funeral Directors of Merthyr Tydfil.
