Funeral-Bagpipes-Panteg-Cwmbran 15th July, 2024.
Funeral Bagpiping today at St. Mary’s Church Panteg. This was for a lady with Scots connections, with many mourners wearing Kilts and/or Tartan.
On approach of the Funeral Cortege, I played “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
To lead into church I played the family requested: “Highland Cathedral”. The departure was to “The Dark Isle” along with “The Ladies of the Alamo”.
At Gwent Crematorium, I led to the chapel entrance with: “Oft in the Stilly Night”, led into the chapel with: “Flower of Scotland”.
At the end of the service, I was asked to play out with “The Black Bear”, this was accompanied by “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
Our condolences to the many family & friends.
