Bagpiping at St Josephs Church In Penarth today. Bagpiping for the Funeral of a local lady with historical Irish connections.
I played as the cortege arrived, with “Oft in the Stilly Night” & “Calon Lan”.
The Church Entry was to “Danny Boy”, followed at the end of the service with “Going Home”.
For the arrival of the procession at Western Cemetery I played “My Home” with “The Mist Covered Mountains”. To lead to the grave I played the requested “Land of My Fathers” & “Amazing Grace”.
At the end of the Interment, I concluded with “The Massacre of Glencoe” & “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
