Funeral-Bagpipes-StPatricks-Grangetown 29th May, 2025.
Funeral Bagpiping today St. Patrick’s RC Church in Grangetown. This was for the Service of a local Gentleman with Italian connections.
On approach, I led to the church with the requested: “Danny Boy” with “Calon Lan”.
After the service, I played a number of tunes of my choice. These included: “Sleep, Dearie Sleep”, “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”, “Flowers of the Forest” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
As the cortege proceeded to Western Cemetery for the interment, I led with the Grounds/Urlars (Piobaireachd) of “Queen Elizabeth II Salute” with “Lament for Mary Macleod”.
Our condolences to the family. Working once again with the very professional Lucy & her team of Park Funeral Directors of Barry & Penarth.
