Funeral Bagpiping today for a Galashields born lady. I played Initially at the home address in Thomastown near Porth & included playing for the cortege arrival with the tunes: “My Home”, “The Massacre of Glencoe”, “The Mist Covered Mountains” & “Sou Gan”.
I then led on departure to the end of the street with “Flower of Scotland”.
At Coychurch Crematorium, I escorted the cortege to the chapel entrance with the requested: “Flower of Scotland”, “Land of My Fathers'” & “Sailing”.
In the Memorial Garden after, I linked the Welsh & Scots connections with: “Myfanwy”, “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen”, “Calon Lan” & a Piobaireachd Salute.
