Funeral-Bagpipes–VofG-Crematorium 25th June, 2024.

Bagpiping at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium (Memoria) once again today. Playing for the Funeral of a Banff (Scotland) born lady, with #Army connections, who lived locally for many years.

On the approach, I was asked to play suitable tunes which included: “Ladies of the Alamo” with “The Shores of Loch Katrine”.

For the Chapel Entry, the requested tune was “Flower of Scotland” and for the departure: “The Skye Boat Song”, “Amazing Grace”.

The visual memorial slide show shortly before the committal was accompanied by Celine Dion’s My Heart Goes On (Titanic Theme).

Therefore after the requested exit tunes, I included “My Heart Goes On (Titanic Theme) on the Bagpipes to bring each element together.

Our Condolences to the extended family and many friends.
