Funeral Bagpiping today at Llwydcoed Crematorium near Aberdare. This was for the Funeral of a Royal Navy & Royal Naval Association Veteran, with Black Watch & Scots connections. He was also a participant in the 1970’s Ark Royal Aircraft Carrier TV series.
With 4 Standard Bearers in attendance, I met the cortege enroute and led to the Chapel playing “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
For the chapel entry I played “Amazing Grace” & led out with “Flower of Scotland”, “Sailing” (Rod Stewart), “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”, “Sleep, Dearie Sleep”, “Flowers of the Forest”, concluding with the classical Piobaireachd called “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
