Funeral-Bagpiping-Birchgrove-Morriston 16th Jan, 2023.
Bagpiping today at a family’s home address in Birchgrove Swansea & Morriston Crematorium. This was for the Funeral of a local Gent with a love of Bagpipes.
I met the Funeral Cars at the family home playing: “Sleep, Dearie Sleep” & “The Massacre of Glencoe”. Then departed from the home address with the requested “Amazing Grace”.
On arrival at the crematorium, I stepped into the road & led to the chapel playing the family requested: “My Home” with the “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
For the entry procession, the selected tune was: “Salute to Willie, The Royal Fendersmith”.
After the family entered the Memorial Garden, I played “Cwm Rhondda”, “Myfanwy” & a Classical Bagpiping (Piobaireachd) Salute.
