Bagpiping in Merthyr Tydfil today. For an Edinburgh born, local lady’s Funeral. I played as the cortege arrived at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. In addition, tunes played were “Oft in the Stilly Night”, & “Flower of Scotland”.
The church entry requested tune was “Calon Lan”. As well as, after the service outside, I played “Myfanwy”.
Thereafter, I met the cortege at Pant Cemetery. Where I led to the gravesite with Bette Midler’s “The Rose” & “Going Home”.
Moreover, following the interment, I played “Amazing Grace”, “Cwm Rhondda” & a Piobaireachd Salute.
