Funeral Bagpiping Newport-Gwent, 15th May, 2019.   A visit to St. Stephen’s Church, Pillgwenlly, Newport Gwent today.  I was Bagpiping for the funeral of a Scots born lady who resided locally. The main service took place at the church, where I played as the funeral cortege approached.  Following this I led into the church to “Amazing Grace” & departed to the “Skye Boat Song”.

After that, the committal took place at Gwent Crematorium later, where I played “Oft in the Stilly Night” on the approach.  “Going Home” leading into the Chapel.   In conclusion I played “Flower of Scotland” at the end of the service. There followed a release of butterflies in memory of the lady.   Our condolences to the many family & friends in attendance.
