Funeral-Bagpiping-Neyland-Pembrokeshire 17th Mar, 2022.
A visit to Neyland in Pembrokeshire today. Bagpiping for the funeral of a local lady with Scots family connections.
I played as the cortege arrived at the family home with “The Skye Boat Song” & “The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen “. Then led from the family home to the end of the street with “Land of My Fathers”
On arrival at St. Clement’s Church, the family selected tunes were: “Amazing Grace” & “Sou Gan” (A Welsh Lullaby). Then after the church service: “Calon Lan” & “Cwm Rhondda”.
Thereafter and following the interment the selected tunes were: “Flower of Scotland” & “The Welsh National Anthem”.
Our condolences to the family who we had met for a previous event and working once again with the very professional Shane & his team of Tom Newing & Sons Funeral Directors of Milford Haven.
