Funeral-Bagpiping Pembs-Natural-Burial-Ground 22nd Oct, 2020.
A Visit to Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground in Keeston, near Haverfordwest today. Bagpiping for the Funeral of a local Gentleman with Scottish Heritage and family who reside in Melbourne Australia.
With a relaxed approach by the family, I played a number of Military connected tunes as mourners arrived, & to acknowledge the Gentleman’s RAF Service.
Following Eulogies by his Wife & Son & some classical music, I led mourners to the Gravesite to “The Mull of Kintyre”.
During & After the Interment I continued with “Land of My Fathers”, “Flower of Scotland” & “Advance Australia Fair” to reflect & include all family connections.
In addition, I continued with my repertoire of Welsh & Scottish tunes. In Conclusion, Our Condolences to the family, absent family & friends.
