Funeral-Bagpiping-Penarth 16th June, 2022.
Bagpiping at St Augustine’s Church, Penarth today. This was for the Funeral of a local lady with family links to #Machrihanish #Argyllshire.
I played for the arrival of the cortege & move to the church door with “Flowers of the Forest”, “My Home” & “The Mist Covered Mountains”.
Thereafter and for the departure, I played a medley of tunes including family requested ones. These were: “Oft in the Stilly Night”, “The Blue Bells of Scotland”, “Highland Cathedral”, “Amazing Grace”, “Sailing”, “Skye Boat Song”, “Mull of Kintyre” & “Queen Elizabeth II Salute”.
Our Condolences to the family, friends & members of RNLI Penarth Lifeboat Station with whom the lady had been involved with.
