Funeral-Bagpiping-Pontrhydyrun-BC-Gwent-Crem 28Apr22
Bagpiping at Pontrhydyrun Baptist Church in Cwmbran today. This was for the Funeral of a Scots born lady living locally.
On the approach of the Funeral Cars, I played “Cwm Rhondda”, along with, “The Massacre of Glencoe”.
In addition, The Church Entry was serviced with the requested: “Amazing Grace”.
At the end of the Church Service, I played for the departure with “Wild Mountain Theme” (Go Lassie Go – Corries) with “Highland Cathedral”.
Thereafter, I proceeded to Gwent Crematorium to await the cortege’s arrival, then played: “The Skye Boat Song” with “Myfanwy”.
The Chapel Entry was to “The Dark Isle” and the service conclusion with “Sleep Dearie, Sleep”, concluding with “Oft in the Stilly Night.
