Funeral-Bagpiping-Torfaen-Venues 20th Jan, 2022.

Bagpiping across Torfaen today.  This was the Funeral of a local Gentleman.   My participation started at the home address in New Inn, where I played for the departure from the house & led along the street to the Bette Midler tune “The Rose”.
 
I then met the cortege at St. Alban’s Catholic Church in Pontypool, where after the arrival, I played “Oft in The Stilly Night” & “Danny Boy”.  In addition, I played “Highland Cathedral” for the church entry.  Thereafter, Braveheart tunes – “For the Love of a Princess” & “She Moved Through the Fair” for the Church departure.
 
Thereafter, I met the cortege on arrival at Gwent Crematorium playing “Flower of Scotland”.  As well as, “The Blue Bells of Scotland” for the Chapel Entry.  Then after, the newly learnt “The Old Rugged Cross” in the memorial garden.
